You can support a range of projects and individuals in our community. When you make a gift of cash, appreciated stocks or other assets to the Battlefords and District Community Foundation, you are making a difference forever.

You can become personally involved in how your donation benefits others by establishing a Donor Advised Fund. Have a discussion with us or your estate planner about the tax benefits you can gain by establishing a fund with us.

Philanthropy in Action Award Winners Celebrated

National Philanthropy Day was on November 15 and was a moment to recognize the individuals and organizations whose generosity strengthens our community. To commemorate this important day, we hosted a special luncheon and award ceremony. It brought together community partners to honour those who embody philanthropy through action, compassion and service.

As part of the celebration, participating organizations were invited to nominate someone who truly reflects the spirit of giving. We are proud to highlight the recipients of this year's Philanthropy in Action awards:

Lyle V. Schell Construction - nominated by Battlefords District Food and Resource Centre

Glen Gantefoer and Adrienne Welter - nominated by Light of Christ Catholic Schools

Jennifer Schmidt - nominated by Battlefords Concern for Youth

Marno Auchstaetter - nominated by Bsttlefords Trade and Education Centre

Jake Miller - nominated by Catholic Family Services

Claude Desnoyers - nominated by Midwest Food Resources

Marion Palidwor - nominated by Canadian Mental Health Association - Battleford Branch

Barrett Penner - nominated by Big Brothers Big Sisters Battlefords

Nicole Combres - nominated by BGC Battlefords

These individuals represent the heart of philanthropy - quiet dedication, generosity of time and spirit, and a committment to making the Battlefords a stronger, more compassionate place to live.

We extend our warmest congratulations to all recipients and sincere thanks to the organizations who nominated them. We celebrate our community through acts of kindess and service.
